Pirated 'Salt 'n Pepper' copies rule the internet

There seems to be no end to piracy in the movie world. Barely a month after Ashiq Abu's 'Salt 'n Pepper' became a superhit, it has been found that pirated copies of the film are readily available on the internet.

This would indeed deliver a huge blow on the film's business. It is estimated that several thousands of users across the world, will have downloaded the movie by now.

Recently, Santhosh Sivan's film 'Urumi' was also found to be available on the internet, weeks within its release. Not just these two films, almost all new Malayalam films are available for illegal download on the internet.

Film makers are trying hard to find out new strategies to counter the piracy threat on the internet. So far however, their efforts have bore little fruit.
